Feis Ceoil Interviews and Filming

Feis Ceoil have been in touch and are launching the upcoming festival online this year. They would like to film our senior orchestra and chat with some of the children as part of the launch. This will take place on Friday 2nd March directly after school. The senior orchestra will therefore be required to stay in school that afternoon to be filmed. The filming shouldn’t take too long but we will let you know all the details as soon as they are announced. For now we’d just like the children to keep that afternoon free with more details to follow. It is a huge honour for the music programme to be invited to launch Feis Ceoil this year and it’s great recognition after our orchestra’s travelling to Dublin to participate for the last 32 years.

Feis Ceoil 2017

The Junior and Senior Orchestras will be participating in the annual Feis Ceoil Competition on Friday 31st March in the RDS, Dublin-please keep this date free in your diary!  More details will follow as we have them.

In order to transport the children up to and and back down from the RDS on the day we will need to hire at least 2 buses. In order to keep costs down for parents we would kindly request if any friends of the programme felt in the position to provide some level of sponsorship towards the hire it would be gratefully received. If you would like to assist please contact Shirley 0851252233

Finally can all parents check if they have any red orchestra sweatshirts at home please? If you do and it still fits your child can you ask your child to let the adult know who is sizing them for a sweatshirt. If you have a sweatshirt(s) that are now too small/extra sweatshirts please return these ASAP. Many thanks as always for your kind co-operation.
