RIAM Theory Lessons

Royal Irish Academy Theory lessons are carried out from first class until fifth class. The lessons culminate in an exam taken in May each year. Lessons are highly encouraged for all those participating in the music programme as they re-enforce practical learning on orchestral instruments.

RIAM Grade 3 Theory

The fourth level of theory lessons at Grade 3 level are continued in Fifth Class. An exam will then be taken in May of the following year.

The course is planned to provide a foundation for the study of Musicianship and to ensure a thorough grasp of music literacy, and is a helpful adjunct to the practical study of an instrument.

RIAM Grade 2 Theory
