The Junior and Senior Orchestras will be travelling to the RDS to compete in the Feis Ceoil on Monday 7th April at 2pm.
The much anticipated biennial Maytime Melodies concert will take place over two nights on Tuesday 20th and Wednesday 21st of May in The Watergate Theatre. A feast of musical talent will be showcased on the both nights.

RTE came to the school to record over three days for a series of sixteen programmes “Meet the Orchestra” which was aired on RTE Junior in September 2013. The programme’s aim was to introduce children to the instruments of the orchestra. Our Senior Orchestra were interviewed and recorded individually and together during the session. Due to increasing popularity it has been necessary to add an extra day to the Kilkenny Music Festival, which will now start on Tuesday 4th March, with the Chamber Music Competitions. This is a change to the previously published start date of Wednesday 5th March.
Happy New Year to all! Music Lessons will resume on Monday 6th January with the exception of Eamon Cahill’s classes and Junior and Senior Jazz Band Rehearsals, which will resume from Monday 13th January.
A great afternoon of busking by the Senior Orchestra took place in a very busy McDonagh Junction on Friday 20th December. The children were fantastic and entertained the many shoppers with a selection of carols and Christmas songs. Volunteers collected in aid of Enable Ireland/The O’Neill Centre. Thanks to all who helped in any way to make it such a lovely occasion.
